Most insurers expect a formal revaluation every three years, with indexation between. Where a plant has been modified or expanded, that cycle is too slow — the change should trigger the update.
It can materially improve the negotiating position. Underwriters price uncertainty; documented evidence of protection, condition and controls removes the loading applied to unknowns. We cannot promise a rate outcome, but a defensible risk position is what makes one possible.
